The feature-rich enhancements found on the latest 1911 additions to the Kimber family include a loaded chamber indicator at the top of the slide to the rear of the chamber. When loaded this small metal bar is visible in the up position. Plus, this 1911 features a magazine disconnect, which prevents the firearm from firing unless a magazine is loaded.
